Identify the product and battery arrangement
Provide the exact model, label photos and whether the battery is installed, packed separately with the device or shipped alone. IATA’s 2026 guide classifies power banks as batteries rather than batteries contained in equipment [1]. The description “electronics” is insufficient.
Request seller documentation
IATA explains battery-type testing requirements and availability of a UN 38.3 test summary [2]. Request the relevant document and match its model to the item; an unrelated certificate does not describe your purchase. Send the information to the carrier for assessment before payment.
Confirm the actual route
IATA’s FAQ explains that packaging requirements depend on battery and shipment characteristics [3]. This article is not a dangerous-goods packing instruction. For the destination city in Ukraine or Moldova, request written acceptance of the model, quantity and packing arrangement.
Build the enquiry
Include the product link, battery model, Wh and voltage markings, device and spare-battery quantities, photos and seller documents. State whether the item is new, used or defective. Ask the seller for missing details rather than substituting estimates.
Before warehouse dispatch
Confirm who prepares the packaging and transport documents, what work the quote includes and what happens if acceptance is refused. Report damage or changed contents before packing. Ordinary-goods delivery terms and passenger-baggage information do not establish acceptance of your parcel.
