Identify the recipient and purpose
Provide the country, city, postal code and preferred delivery method. Explain whether the goods are for personal use or resale. Ask for the documents and quote appropriate to your type of import; personal shopping conditions should not be assumed to cover a commercial batch.
Make the contents easy to identify
Keep the invoice or order confirmation, payment evidence, product links and quantities. For combined purchases, make an inventory linking each item to its order. Confirm who appears as the sender and who will answer valuation questions. Use the actual transaction value rather than an estimate.
Online declarations
Moldovan customs announced an online declaration route for individuals receiving certain postal shipments on 24 March 2025, with payment through MPay [1]. Check eligibility for your shipment and agree with the operator who will submit the declaration.
Check changes before payment
The Finance Ministry announcement of 8 September 2026 describes proposed parcel VAT changes, including a proposed 1 October 2026 start [2]. This article does not confirm final enactment. For a shipment crossing a transition date, request the applicable legal basis and separate amounts for taxes and clearance services.
Send a complete quote request
Include links, quantities, prices, packed dimensions, weight and destination city. Disclose batteries in electronics. Ask which charges are payable before shipping, which may arise after arrival and how requests for extra documents will be handled.
