Bicycle accessories from China: check fit before ordering
Prepare mounting dimensions, included parts and sample requirements for lights, bags, locks and holders.
Describe the bicycle and mounting location
A bicycle name alone may not be enough to source an accessory. Include the exact model and a photo of the intended mounting area. This is an editorial enquiry checklist, not confirmation that a particular product will fit.
- Record the model, year and changes to the original equipment.
- For a holder, specify device, case and mounting-area dimensions.
- For a bag, record the available space and required attachment method.
Ask the supplier to confirm specifications
Compare measurements with manufacturer drawings, not product photos alone. “Universal” does not replace a stated range of supported dimensions. Keep the supplier’s reply with the link to the exact variant.
- Confirm the mounting range and included inserts.
- For a light, ask about charging, included cables and conditions behind runtime claims.
- For a lock, confirm length, weight, keys and replacement terms; do not infer protection from appearance alone.
Check a sample before buying a batch
Agree a completeness check and fitting according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Do not modify mounts to force an unsuitable accessory to fit. Braking, steering and battery systems need separate technical selection with a qualified specialist.
- Check the model, included parts and actual dimensions.
- Request confirmation that the accessory does not obstruct controls or necessary cables.
- Agree how an unsuitable sample will be replaced before paying for a batch.
Reorder by exact variant
Give each size, mounting option and package its own row. Check for manufacturer model changes before reordering. Agree transport acceptance separately for products containing a battery.
